Software engineer. I take hard problems apart and build the systems that solve them.
AI products, voice agents, end-to-end platforms.
Voice agents, autonomous agents, RAG platforms that hold up in production.
Event-driven, multi-tenant backends with Next.js and React on top.
Breaking messy problems into smaller ones and shipping the fix end to end.
Things I've built
An autonomous agent that tests how AI-ready a website is.
A voice agent that books hospital appointments, with a lip-synced avatar.
A voice-first English to Hindi tutor with memory, tests and evals.
A small app with production-grade engineering: idempotent APIs, 113 tests.
Two stories from work
At ClickPe (YC W23) I owned orchestration for long-running payment flows: Temporal workflows, a distributed queue underneath, and compensation logic for every unhappy path.
Throughput went up 50% with fewer failures.
At RedBlox I build a multi-tenant AI platform for WhatsApp and Telegram. One tenant's slow model endpoint was quietly holding up everyone, so I added per-tenant circuit breakers and per-channel rate limits.
5K+ events a day, and the problem stayed fixed.
THE FOUNDER CHAPTER
A co-founder and I decided that was worth fixing, so we built Rolaa AI.
THE PROBLEM
We were living it ourselves: meetings ended, notes were scattered, and following up with people afterwards was manual every time. Before writing code, we asked other founders whether this hurt them too. They said yes.
WHAT WE BUILT
A bot that joins your Google Meet, Zoom or Teams calls, captures everything through a LiveKit pipeline, transcribes it, syncs outcomes to Slack, Notion, Jira and HubSpot, and then handles the follow-ups: AI-written emails and WhatsApp messages, with replies read and routed automatically. I built the capture pipeline, the streaming backbone, the integrations and the outreach workers, together with my co-founder Harsh Raj Srivastava. We took it to 500 beta users and raised 25,000 dollars in cloud credits from AWS, GCP and Azure.
WHY WE STOPPED
Two honest reasons. The infrastructure cost was high, because real-time capture and processing gets expensive with every meeting-minute. And circumstances meant we couldn't give it 100%. We chose to stop properly instead of letting it fade.
WHAT I KEEP FROM IT
I design with a cost model next to the architecture now, and I validate the problem before building the solution.

About
I'm Mayank. I started in backend, went through two YC startups, co-founded Rolaa AI and took it to 500 beta users, and now I build production AI systems at RedBlox. I like problems that are messy at the start and simple by the time I'm done.

A few hours each week, one on one: interview prep, mock interviews, resume and project reviews, and honest career guidance. The reviews above say brutally honest. They are right.

"He listened patiently, gave practical advice, and shared valuable insights about the job market and startup hiring process."
"Very practical and honest guidance, and actionable advice based on real startup hiring experience."
Work with me if you're building something worth solving, whether that's inside a large company or a startup taking shape.
Open to full-time roles and serious project engagements.
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. I'm Mayank's personal AI. Ask me anything about him: his work, his projects, his story, or how to reach him. And if I don't know something, I'll say so honestly, just like he would.
